Celebrating BP Upgrades

Tennant Creek now boasts one of the best roadhouses on the Stuart Highway, with the reopening of the BP Service Station’s renovated restroom area and toilets.

“As the only 24-hour business in Tennant Creek, we know people rely on our facilities overnight.

But the restroom area had become rundown and was a regular source of complaints from both travellers and locals,” said Ms Jacqueline Graham, CEO of IRAM, which manages the service station.

BP Driveway Major Upgrades

Upgrades to Tennant Creek BP Service Station

A major upgrade of the Tennant Creek BP Service Station will start at the end of September 2024 and take about three months, the CEO of IBA Retail Asset Management (IRAM) John Kop announced today.

Mr Kop announced that Darwin company M&J builders has been awarded the contract to refurbish the BP restroom area and toilets, replace much of the ceiling and upgrade security at the service station.

“We will keep disruption to a minimum during the rebuild and ensure fuel continues to be available 24 hours a day,” Mr Kop said.
