Apprenticeship Complete
IGA Tennant Creek employee Neville was the proud recipient of his Certificate III in Meat Processing and Meat Retail today.
Neville was presented with his Certificate by William Angliss trainer Trevor Edon, watched by store manager Angus and IRAM’s Merchandise Manager Andrew Hobers.
“We are incredibly proud of Neville,” said Andrew Hobers. “I’m certain his success will make him a role model in the community.”
Community Chest Donation for Tennant Creek Transport
Serving as a crucial service provider, Tennant Creek Transport is dedicated to offering accessible and affordable transportation solutions to the residents of Tennant Creek.
Their role within the community is indispensable, particularly considering the challenging environmental conditions, such as summer temperatures soaring to as high as 45 degrees Celsius. In such conditions, Tennant Creek Transport's services become even more vital, catering to the needs of all residents, including the most vulnerable.
CEO’s Christmas Message
It’s mid-December already! The Christmas decorations are up, stores are brimming with Christmas fare and, as always, our team are making sure everyone else has a wonderful Christmas.
Supermarkets and service stations are such an essential service, always there when people need us, contributing to their quality of life and special occasions.
But services are delivered by people, not stores. As we head towards the end of another year, I want to thank all IRAM team for their continued dedication, hard work and professionalism throughout 2023.
Upgrade in the Flinders Ranges
In the heart of the Spectacular South Australian Flinders Ranges, IRAM planned and executed the upgrade of the Wilpena Pound IGA from an IGA Express to an IGA Local Grocer. The upgrade included the installation of new shelving, a full range review, new grocery, fresh and fridge/freezer layouts, and a fridge/freezer upgrade.

In 2023 five Tartukula artists- Penny Kelly, Heather Anderson, Michelle Brodie, Aileen Long and Lindy Brodie collaborated to create a mural for the Tennant Creek IGA.
Barkly Voices Project: Keep My Culture Strong
The Barkly Voices Project, sponsored by IBA’s subsidiary IBA Retail Asset Management, saw 160 schoolchildren, Traditional Owners and community members from the Barkly Region contribute their voices. The singing collaboration has shown how music can unify communities in the Northern Territory.
Tennant Creek IGA Grand Opening
Tennant Creek celebrate the grand opening of its new IGA supermarket on 16 March after an extensive reconstruction and fit-out of the old site.
The celebrations include a Welcome to Country, smoking ceremony, ribbon cutting, and a free afternoon tea with a local band and activities for kids.
The original supermarket was destroyed by arson in July 2020, along with three adjoining tenancies. A temporary site was established to maintain a constant supply of food for the local community.
